A 1830s Country House decked out in contemporary farmhouse style, this luxury holiday home near Woolacombe, North Devon is a tranquil retreat made for self-catering group holidays and family house parties. With the sandy beaches of Devon’s north coast on one side, and Exmoor on the other, this luxurious property is fantastically situated for all types of coastal and country holidays.

Inside

  • Style: Refurbished to superlative standards, in contemporary farmhouse style
  • Bedrooms: 2 doubles (super-king master en suite with bath and shower and 1 king bedroom with double shower en suite; both of these bedrooms open onto the balcony with sea views), 2 twins with zip and link beds (making super-king sized doubles), and one bunk room. In addition to the 2 en suites there is a family bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom with WC.
  • For relaxation: Choose to relax in one of two plush sitting rooms with wide-screen TVs and log burners.
  • For recreation: Playstation II, outdoor table football and stereo, outdoor childrens play area
  • Practicalities: Under-floor heating. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer, parking for 4 cars, separate drinks fridge, coal BBQ (no coal provided) dishwasher, microwave

Beautifully manicured lawns adjoining rolling farmland that meets stunning seascapes. BBQ and sun terrace, garden furniture and parking for 4 cars. There is also a childrens playarea with swings and slide plus a wendy house, lawn area for ball games, wood burner.

Food and wine

  • DIY: Available on a self-catering basis, beautiful, open-plan country cottage style kitchen fully equipped with all mod cons, double oven, Aga with gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and a large dining table. Next-door is an organic farm where you can stock up on home-reared meats and fresh vegetables.
  • In-house cuisine: Welcome hamper on arrival, including basic essentials, wine/champagne, free-range eggs, organic milk and bread. Caterers are available to cook-up sumptuous celebratory feasts using fresh local produce (www.antoniaskitchen.co.uk). Local organic meat can be ordered in advance for you.
  • Eating out: Whether you fancy a four-course meal or fish and chips checkout Decks (www.decksrestaurant.co.uk) in the seaside village of Instow. 11 The Quay in Ilfracombe (www.11thequay.co.uk) serves champagne, tapas and fine local produce. BYO to The Shack (known to locals as Morthoe Fisheries takeaway) where you can experience fresh local seafood including cod, halibut, crab, lobster, oysters, whelks and mussels.
